My interest in meditation evolved from my yoga practice. A decade or more back I realised that the reason I felt different after a yoga class was not to do with the physical exercises, but from the relaxation and the breathing practices. My body felt more relaxed, my mind was freer and I felt more energetic. I trained as a yoga teacher in 2017 as I wanted to deepen my understanding and practice. Bringing mindful meditation into my yoga classes has added another dimension of mental and emotional benefits for my students. I’m now in the process of training to teach MBSR and have had the benefit of learning from some of the most wonderful and experienced teachers in the UK. I am now looking forward to bringing the rewards of mindfulness meditation to others in the UK and internationally.
